Danyang Eight Great Sceneries

The Eight Great Sceneries of Danyang are all natural scenes, including Dodamsambong Peak, Gudambong Peak, Oksunbong Peak, Seokmun, Haseonam, Jungseonam, Sangseonam and Sainam Rock.
Dodamsambong Peak is the most famous of the eight wonders. It is a small island in the Namhan River with three small peaks. It is said to be the only place in the world that people can see such three longest rocks in the middles of the river. The shape of Gudambong Peak is like a figure swimming in the water. Oksunbong Peak likes wearing a suit of green clothes, because the rocks are surrounded by forest. In autumn, the leaves in the peaks are very beautiful. Seokmun is a stone gate in the shape of a rainbow. Haseonam, Jungseonam and Sangseonam, these three brother-like peaks are three hermitages in this area. Haseonam combines steep mountains and deep valleys. Jungseonam is surrounded with waterfall and mountains. There are many small rocks in Sangseonam area. Be dotted with pine trees, Sainam Rock is a rock cliff.
